Terms

These terms cover Anansi Drafts, its web app and this website. IndigoBit LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company ("IndigoBit", "we", "us"), runs them. By creating an account or using Anansi Drafts, you agree to these terms.

Your account

You need an account to use Anansi Drafts. Sign up with an email address you can receive mail at and keep access to it, because we send your sign-in codes there. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Anansi Drafts, or 16 if you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.

Your writing

Everything you write in Anansi Drafts belongs to you. You give us permission to store, copy, back up and show your writing only as far as we need to run Anansi Drafts for you.

We don't read your Projects unless you ask us to help with a problem in one, or the law requires it. We don't train AI on your writing, and we don't sell or share it.

You can export your writing at any time. If you close your account, we delete your Projects as described in our Privacy policy.

Using Anansi Drafts

Don't use Anansi Drafts to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, or to spread malware. Don't try to disrupt or overload the service, and don't try to get into accounts or systems that aren't yours.

We may suspend or close an account that does these things. Where we can, we'll tell you first and give you time to export your writing.

Early access

Anansi Drafts is in early access from November 1 to November 30, 2026. During early access:

• It's free. We don't charge for early access, and we don't ask for payment details.
• It's unfinished. Features may change or be removed, and you may find bugs. Export your writing regularly.
• We may limit the number of new accounts, or end early access sooner if we have to. We'll tell you by email if we do.

When early access ends, paid Cloud plans begin. A paid plan starts only when you choose one. Nothing you do during early access turns into a charge.

Paid plans

Cloud plans are billed monthly or yearly, in advance. The Pricing page lists what each plan costs.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders.

Your plan renews at the end of each billing period until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Our Refund policy explains how to get your money back within 30 days.

If a plan's price changes, we'll email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you.

Changes to Anansi Drafts

We keep working on Anansi Drafts and may change it. If we ever shut it down, we'll give you at least 60 days' notice to export your writing.

No warranties

Anansi Drafts is provided "as is". We work to keep your writing safe, but we can't promise the service will always be available or free of errors. Keep your own copies of work you can't afford to lose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, IndigoBit isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and $100.

Governing law

Massachusetts law governs these terms. Nothing in them takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change matters to how you use Anansi Drafts, we'll email you before it takes effect.
