Privacy

This policy covers Anansi Drafts, its web app and this website. IndigoBit LLC ("we", "us") runs them. We don't sell or share your personal information, and we don't train AI on your writing.

What we collect

• Your account. Your email address, and the sign-in codes and session that keep you signed in.
• Your writing. The Projects you create: their chapters, notes, characters, places, boards and history. We store them so you can open them from any computer.
• Billing, once paid plans start. Paddle, our reseller, collects your payment details at checkout. Paddle tells us your name, email address, country, plan and whether a payment went through. We never see your full card number.
• Your messages. If you email us, we keep the message so we can answer it.
• Error reports. When the app hits an error, it sends us a report with technical details, such as the browser, the page and what failed. We remove the text of your writing from these reports before they are sent.
• Server logs. Our servers record requests, including IP addresses, so we can run and secure the service.

The website

This website sets no cookies. To count visits, we use anonymous, cookieless analytics that record page views and referring sites in aggregate. They don't fingerprint your device, track you across sites or collect personal identifiers.

Cookies in the app

The app sets one cookie, which keeps you signed in. It sets no advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

We use this information to run Anansi Drafts, keep it secure, fix problems, answer your messages and bill paid plans. We email you about your account, such as sign-in codes, changes to early access and billing. We send product news only if you subscribe, and every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link.

Who receives it

We don't sell or share your personal information. These service providers process it on our behalf, only to run Anansi Drafts:

• Hosting providers, which run our servers and store your Projects.
• Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record, which handles orders, payments, invoices, taxes and refunds for paid plans. Paddle's own privacy notice covers what it collects at checkout.
• Sentry, which receives error reports.
• An email provider, which delivers sign-in codes and the emails you subscribe to.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.

How long we keep it

Your account and Projects stay until you delete them or close your account. When you close your account, we delete your account and Projects within 30 days. We keep records that the law requires us to keep, such as billing records. Error reports and server logs are deleted after 90 days.

Your choices and rights

You can export your writing at any time. To get a copy of your personal information, correct it or delete it, write to support@indigobit.dev.

Depending on where you live, for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom or California, you may have further rights. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Where we process it

We are based in the United States. Our service providers may process your information in the United States and other countries.

Children

Anansi Drafts is not for children under 13, or under 16 in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change matters to how we handle your information, we'll email you before it takes effect.
